Product Info

The Exploro Highly Sensitive Fentanyl Test for Powdered Substances is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of fentanyl in powdered substances at a cutoff concentration of 20 ng/mL.

This test is intended for visual interpretation based on color development on the test strip. Results are read by visually comparing the presence or absence of colored lines on the strip after testing, following the instructions provided.

Storage
• Store the test at 39–86°F (4–30°C). DO NOT FREEZE.
• Do not open the pouch until ready for use.

Result time
• Read the test results exactly at 5 minutes.
• Do not read the results after 8 or more minutes (may affect accuracy).

Important notes
• A negative result does not guarantee the absence of fentanyl (it may be present below the test’s sensitivity).
• To prevent cross-contamination, use a new collection container and spoon for each test.
• Do not reuse the test (one-time use).

How to Use

Before you begin

Read the complete information before performing the test.
If testing pills, crush them into a fine powder.
Let the kit reach room temperature (15–30°C) and avoid areas of excess moisture.
Do not use the test if the foil packaging is damaged or has been opened.
After opening the test package, use it immediately to avoid prolonged exposure to air (which could cause the test to malfunction).
Have a watch, clock, or timer available.
Follow the timing instructions carefully when carrying out the test and observing results.
Do not use the test after the expiration date.
The test kit must not be frozen.
This test is for one-time use only — DO NOT REUSE.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke in the area where the sample and kits are handled.

Caution

To prevent cross-contamination, always use a new collection container and spoon for each test.
Handle all samples as if they contain infectious agents.

Step 1

Take the collection container and pour in 1 spoon of powdered fill (fill the spoon to the top — this amount is sufficient).
Use the pipette to add 5 ml of clean water.
Use the spoon to mix the sample well.

Note: The mixture should be well-stirred with no lumps or chunks. If the liquid is cloudy, allow it to settle and only use the clear part to test.

Step 2

Remove the test from the sealed pouch and use it immediately.
With arrows pointing toward the sample, immerse the test strip vertically in the sample for 10–15 seconds. Do not pass the maximum line (“MAX”) on the test strip when immersing it.
Place the test strip on a non-absorbent flat surface (it is convenient to use the back side of the test strip pouch for this purpose).
Start the timer immediately after application.

Step 3

Read the test results exactly in 5 minutes.
Do not read the results after 8 minutes.

Note: Reading after 8+ minutes may produce inaccurate results because the chemical reaction will not provide accurate results anymore.

How to Use

3 Easy Steps

Prepare the sample

Pour 1 full spoon of powdered substance into the collection container. Using the pipette, add 5 ml of clean water, then mix thoroughly with the spoon until the liquid is well stirred and free of lumps or chunks. If the liquid is cloudy, allow it to settle and use only the clear part for testing.

Run the test

Remove the test strip from the sealed pouch and use it immediately. With the arrows pointing toward the liquid, immerse the test strip vertically into the prepared sample for 10–15 seconds. Do not immerse past the “MAX” line. Remove the strip and place it on a clean, flat, non-absorbent surface. Start the timer immediately.

Read the results

Read the results exactly at 5 minutes. Do not read the test after 8 minutes, as results may change and no longer be accurate.
